CLASSICAL THEATRE WHERE YOU LEAST EXPECT IT!

Urban Bard Productions is a new theatre company focused on using Toronto’s urban landscape in unexpected ways to stage entertaining and relevant classical theatre. The purpose of doing so is to surprise residents and visitors of this fine city with how even spaces they least expect can have cultural value - proving how relevant theatre can be by bringing the arts into their world, instead of asking them to come into dark theatrical venues to enjoy it. Members of Urban Bard have worked in classical and contemporary theatre across Ontario.

Urban Bard is born out of a love for the city of Toronto and all of its different settings. Both the old and the new combine in this city to create a very unique landscape which we feel is the perfect venue to prove to audiences how relevant and modern classical theatre can be.
